The intention of this blog is to both motivate me to write, and to keep most of my setting information in one place. I have been keeping my information on a forum meant for my roleplaying community for some years now, but here I can expand on it with information not necessarily meant for my players, and talk about stories I am writing in the setting. For any not familiar with my work so far, I write on a world which I have named Nerthus (after an old Germanic earth-goddess figure), which is meant to be a heroic fantasy setting with some dark elements, the odd splash of silliness, and lots of magic.
Or, as the blog description reads: "Welcome to a world of heroic fantasy. Nerthus is a realm where a rebirth
of chivalry is caught between the decadence of crumbling civilizations,
and the barbaric brutality of the savage wilds. It is a realm where
spiritual forces are everywhere, where the bold may quest into realms of
dream or of death. It is a realm where an ancient evil wakes, and with
it, the dead no longer sleep quietly in their graves."
Over the following months and years I shall post snippets of stories I shall be publishing on Amazon, talk about some of my main characters, long term plots, and magic in the setting. I'll delete or edit posts and comments as I like, but I shall try to remain open to criticism. Ultimately though, this blog is meant for me to use as a writer's bible, to organize my setting and make sure I don't contradict myself too much.
